Monday, 24th January; Alzheimer's Society (again, sorry!), and West Berkshire Mencap

Paid a visit to the lady I've befriended through the West Berkshire branch of the Alzheimer's Society. We had a bit of a chinwag and then did the:

"puzzle, not angry when written down (9)."

Then, after popping in to get some milk, I noticed a table top book sale in aid of West Berkshire Mencap in the Co-op in Thatcham with paperbacks for just 50p and my eye was drawn to Ian Fleming's Casino Royale - I love this one! I put 45p in the pot, realised I didn't have any more money and put the book back. Hopefully someone who hasn't read it five times will purchase it and enjoy it!

West Berkshire Mencap is a brilliant local cause that supports people with learning disabilities and runs various schemes and services ranging from leisure services to giving adults with disabilities the opportunity to work. West Berkshire Mencap also has an amazing sensory room, accessible playground, sensory garden and soft play room. In collaboration with the Greenham Common Trust, they'll also have a supported living home soon.
