Thursday, 13th January 2011 - Woodland Trust

Oh dear. I didn't do too well today.

I decided to have a clear out and took all of our Christmas cards to TK Maxx as they had a collection box on behalf of the Woodland Trust who recycle the cards and use the money to help plant native trees (the Woodland Trust's remit is to ensure the country has native woods and trees enjoyed and valued by everyone).

It is the last time that the Woodland Trust intends to do a Christmas card recycling campaign, but their "More Trees, More Good campaign" is an ambitious one which aims to double the number of native trees and woods as only 4% of the UK has native woodland cover for the sake of wildlife and also to combat climate change.
